Arnie Castro Part 2

Thank you to those of you who listened to our show today at 11 am ET.  If you were listening you heard a powerful testimony of the Finished Work of Jesus Christ in the life of one of His saints.  Arnie Castro was born in Cuba.  His family came to the US on the Freedom Flights of the 60's.  He was raised in a Cuban neighborhood in Miami and later went on to play professional sports.  Although he was a very talented young man, Arnie found himself involved in many damaging and even deadly things.  It wasn't until he was 30, arrested for drugs and sitting in a jail that he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.  That day he looked back on the wake of destruction from his decisions and knowing he could do little to fix it, but all the same, a burden was lifted from his shoulders.  He knew that if the Creator of the universe could forgive him, everything would be alright.  Like all of us, Arnie's life has taken little detours since committing his life to Christ.  But no decision has been more fulfilling.  He truly rests in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ.  Jesus has done it all.  Jesus paid for it all.  Our job is to believe.  Thank you, Arnie, for reminding us that we can do all things through Christ.  That we all have an innate desire to live life, but nothing fills that void in our life but a true relationship with the One Who made us and the One Who paid for us.

Arnie Castro

Arnie Castro is a servant of Jesus Christ - born in Cuba living in Baltimore, Maryland.  On this Monday's radio show we will learn about his family background, the call on his life and what God has put on his heart lately.

I think it's so fitting that last week my uncle spoke of taking trips to Cuba and this week we have a man born in Cuba.  It's cool how God works things out.  I am looking forward to learning more about Arnie's life!

Vick Pease

My uncle Vick Pease grew up right here on the Mid-coast of Maine.  Sometimes we are quite surprised to see and hear what our neighbors are doing to make the world a better place.  It's my hope you are pleasantly surprised that this Union business man uses sports and sports equipment to make an impact for Christ on the children of our Spanish speaking neighbors in Latin America.  And does the same for men in our area.  Spreading God's heart for each human soul and His desire for each one of us to know Him personally.

Vick is married to Shanie Pease, has two grown children and two grandchildren.  Vick and Shanie own and operate Union True Value and Shanie's Gifts and Scrapbooking in Union, Maine.
