Pam Hill

Easter Fam

Pam Hill was born in Virginia to a military family.  She relocated to her dad's hometown of Rockland when she was a child and graduated from Rockland High School.  She married Steve Hill in 1981 and worked as an accountant at a local bank for several years.  She and Steve joined Africa Inland Mission in 1994 and began serving as missionaries in the mountainous country of Lesotho in Southern Africa.  During her 10 years in Africa as a community developer she was able to help her husband start a literacy program, a rural vocational skill training center, a pre-school, and Bible studies.  She currently lives in Brunswick, Maine with her husband Steve and children Logan (6) and Morgan (2).  Her son James (22) and his wife Jewely live in Idaho.  The Hills are planning to return to South Africa next April.

Neighborhood House Ministry Belfast

Me

My name is Jessie Lofton, and I accepted Christ as my savior through an after-school Good News Club at the age of nine. Later I was able to go to Camp Good News where my counselors really put in the extra effort to teach me and encourage me in my faith. They taught me how to have a close relationship with God, and through having this relationship and desiring to grow I decided to attend New Brunswick Bible Institute following high school. I am currently a student in the fourth year program at NBBI, doing my internship at the Neighborhood House in Belfast, Maine. I intend to continue on from here to work in Children's ministry, reaching kids in the same way I was once reached.

The Higgins:

We both grew up in the Belfast area and became directors of the Neighborhood House ministry in June of 2006. The Neighborhood House at 174 Congress St. Belfast is a Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Maine. The Neighborhood House is a non denominational ministry to children age 3 to 19. We provide a safe place for children to hear the gospel and grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We felt God’s call into the ministry seven years ago and sold our home in Searsmont, Maine. God opened doors for us to serve him right in our hometown. We have had a burden for children in the Belfast area for many years. Many of the children we serve are in very difficult situations from broken family lives, to drug and alcohol abuse. To many of the children we serve the Neighborhood House is church. We seek to also attach these children to a local bible believing church to continue their relationship with the Lord. Because of our central location in Belfast we are able to build long lasting relationships with children starting with preschool group, then moving to elementary clubs in the schools, then with middle school kids and finally our youth group. We serve about 80 children a week and have been blessed to get to know and help so many great kids. If you live in the Midcoast area and would like more information on our programs, being involved or would like to set up to see a presentation on our ministry please call us at 338-6453. We are grateful to be serving our Lord and Pray God will use us to reach the children around us.

Jessica Nelson

Jessica Nelson grew up in Mid-coast Maine and went on to marry a professional athlete.  Today we will talk about her walk with God among empty people.  She will also talk about almost losing everything just after the height of her husband's career and raising three little girls while moving twenty five times in three different countries.

Have to run to the show.  Will write more later.
